Dressing as a Superhero

Champagne's Ultimate Superhero Guide to Halloween

If you could choose a superhero, who would it be? What superpower do you prefer to have? Today, I need about 8 different superpowers to get everything done that I’d like to, but for now I’ll settle for Wonder Woman, Batman and Superman!

Wonder Woman

Champagne's Ultimate Superhero Guide to Halloween

I’m not going to lie I have a crazy Girl Crush on Wonder Woman! I mean what young girl didn’t grow up wanting to be the princess of the Amazons, a fierce warrior, and have all of the strength as Superman, plus the allure of a beautiful woman?

Just like fashion changes, the evolution of Wonder Woman’s iconic costume over the past 80 years has undergone some alterations, both subtle and not so subtle. For the most part the patriotic red, white and blue of Wonder Woman’s costume has been consistent from when she was first introduced to us in 1941. As a woman myself living in the 21st century, I wanted my corset designed to be timeless, giving Wonder Woman a strong yet still sexy look that can be worn by young girls and women of all ages.

Goddess of Truth (Wonder Woman’s Weapon):
My corset is laced up in the back with a special length of golden rope that compels someone to tell the truth, also known as Wonder Woman’s magic lasso. I fight evil with my mystical sword and shield, and quickly get-away in my invisible jet.

Batman

Has anyone else grown up humming throughout the day, “Na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na…BATMAN”!! If you have than you know just how Bruce Wayne became Batman, the most popular superhero there ever was and my favorite of the three!

.
,,Always be yourself. Unless you can be Batman, then always be Batman.
—Stella

When batman was first introduced in 1939, he wore a gray costume with a dark-blue cape and cowl. The bat ears on his mask were more pronounced, and the insignia on his chest was the black silhouette of a cartoon bat. Over the years the bat ears were shortened and a yellow oval was introduced to surround the bat insignia. His costume also underwent many incarnations and was changed to a darker, more intimidating look that went from blue to black.

My corset is a more realistic look of today’s Batman that has a mix of darkness and functionality, which after all, is for a dark avenger of the night!

Superman

The mightiest of all heroes who would have thought those oversize glasses Clark Kent wore would be fashionable 80 years later? Created in 1938, Superman wore a brown and gray suit with a uniform change to red and blue.

Here you can see I’m wearing my “Bulletproof Steel Corset”. Once its on and laced up, it feels like it gives you powers unlike any other, making you faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than a locomotive, and able to leap tall buildings in a single bound!

My red cape gives me the ability to fly and my X-ray vision allows me to see through walls.
