How it works

Every corset we make is constructed exclusively for you.
We can fit your garment in person, or remotely by working with your local tailor and providing mock-up fitting services.
All of our corsets are bespoke, tailored to fit your body and aesthetic.

Discuss

The perfect corset for you.

You can choose to be as involved as you like in the design process. Let us create the perfect corset for you, or work with us to help make your dream a reality.
After our initial discussion we’ll prepare an estimate for the project and request the down payment. Consultations may continue for multiple rounds before we begin the design phase.

Champagne Corsets & Designs offers various service levels and pricing options.

Design

As unique as you are.

Once we’ve gotten to know about you and your vision, the real magic begins. We’ll gather any inspiration images or notes you’ve given us, along with our own design concepts for your custom garment and create a sketch or rendering of the project.

If you like the sketch, the next step is for you to review a hand-picked selection of fabric swatches, trim and embellishments. Depending on your Service Level, we may go over your swatches and samples together, or we’ll send them to you. If you have specific materials in mind, don’t be shy, let’s talk about it!

Measure

Nothing beats couture.

Next we will need your measurements. We can take them in person, or you can send a completed measurement form. We strongly advise that if we are working remotely, you use a tailor to take down your precise measurements, print the form and bring it with you to make sure everything goes smoothly.

Send us back the form with your tailor’s notes on it and a pattern will be drafted based on these measurements.
You may want to take a look at measurement tips before you get measured.

Fit

Custom-tailored to achieve the most amazing look.

A mock-up will be created for your first fitting.  This is how we will perfect the fit of the final piece.  We can arrange a fitting in person or this can be done remotely.  We will ship the mock-up to you and make adjustments with the help of your local tailor.

Several fittings may be required to finalize your corset. Depending on your Service Level and your location, our staff or your tailor will mark or pin the mock-up, indicating the final fit adjustments. From this adjusted mock-up we’ll draft another pattern. Based on the fit, we’ll either create another mock-up or begin constructing the final garment.

Celebrate

You deserve to wear bespoke.

Using your vision, your precise measurements and your chosen materials, we’ll create your bespoke garment with impeccable craftsmanship and the highest standards of quality.

Perfection takes time. Depending on your Service Level, construction time and shipping methods will vary. We’ll ship your couture corset directly to you, all you have to do is wait.

Bespoke craftsmanship can’t be rushed, that said, we know you can’t wait to get your new corset. As part of your initial cost estimate, we’ll also let you know how long we expect your project to take. Estimate anywhere from two to ten weeks depending upon your service level, the complexity of the design, the rarity of the materials and if extra fittings are needed.

Shipment costs for swatches, samples, mock-ups and your finished corset are included in your project estimate. The shipment method is dependent upon your service level – let us know if you want to upgrade shipping speeds because you just can’t wait!

We require a 50% down payment at the start of the project. 25% is due after the mock-up has been fit and approved. The final payment is due upon project completion. Due to the unique nature of couture garments, we cannot start each phase until payment has been received and we cannot refund any part of the project for which work has been completed.

We cannot accept returns for any reason because each corset is custom-made just for you and it just wouldn’t be right for anyone else.  However, if you are not completely satisfied, we’ll work with you until it is perfect. We can’t refit the garment if the final corset does not fit due to weight loss or gain. Please make sure your size is somewhat stable before getting measured.

Consider putting off getting measured until after any intense dieting or exercise you plan to perform.
Corsets vary widely in shape, we can help you select the right design. Send us a picture of yourself in something form-fitting, or in your underwear. We promise to respect your privacy, we won’t show anyone the pictures!
